"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
A majority of children in rural areas of Haiti never get a chance to go to school. We believe that it is imortant for children to receive schooling so that they have options for careers or paths when they grow older, thus expanding the economy and bringing Haiti up to par with other countries.
So far, S.A.V.E. has sponsored a school in Waunlop with approximately 120 students, but hopes to grow into the other zones of Boukeron. In order to receive financial aid for the school tuition, the families of the students are expected to contribute in various ways, whether it is by helping clean the school or maintain the gardens for its food. We want to make sure that the Haitians have a sense of ownership in everything we provide.
In addition to traditional schooling, S.A.V.E. also plans to sponsor information sessions for the entire community on various topics, including sanitation, finances, business, trades, and agriculture. These sessions, led by experts in the field and conducted in a way that everyone will understand, will result in better decisions and new understandings for individuals.
If you have any ideas on helping the education sector, we would love to hear from you! Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope that one day education is not considered a luxury, but a feasible option for everyone.
In Haiti, most children cannot afford to attend school. By going to primary (elementary) school, children will grow up with more knowledge in the various essential subjects, opening paths toward a larger and more successful job market in the future.

Very few Haitians have the opportunity to go to college, and those that do often move out of the country. A scholarship of full tuition will produce many opportunities for the student.
